Faka Bros premiered at Cinerama Rotterdam on March 6, 2025. Originally a small side project, it became a 45-minute "mockbuster" made over 18 months.
The film follows a friend group's four-year journey in Rotterdam on a mission to save the world from evil. But what happens when inside stories and jokes become the structure of the story and plot? Every scene pulls from real moments — from sharing a Kapsalon to surviving a chaotic ride to Delft.
Faka Bros satirizes how blockbusters trade meaning for spectacle. The familiar "good vs. evil, save the world" formula functions under any condition, even when the story is built entirely from references only the friend group itself truly understands.
